My obsession with this Oktoberfest and the Spaten brand in general can date back to late 2006 when I was introduced the the beer while on a trip to Ocean City, MD for H20 International. We ended up taking the trip with a half-keg of this unique beer laying on its side belted across where the back seat of the vehicle would have been had it not been equipped with a full roll cage. Once we finally tapped the keg I found the beer to be quite delicious and my long history with the brew began. Every year since then I have made it a point to go to the store every year and collect a few cases to store away for the long winter. Thankfully tonight I happened to make a stop on the way home from work to Consumers to find a keg of this still on tap in December!
